Cinenic Film, founded in 2008 by Annika Hellström and based in Gothenburg, Sweden, is an independent production company that specializes in feature films and creative documentaries. The company collaborates with some of the most creative talents across Scandinavia. With over 25 titles produced and co-produced to date, Cinenic Film’s work includes acclaimed features such as FLOCKING (Crystal Bear, Berlinale 2015), AND BREATHE NORMALLY (Best director, Sundance 2018) and CHILDREN OF THE ENEMY (CPH:DOX 2021, FIPRESCI Award/Krakow, 2022, Main Award & Audience Award AJB DOC, 2022). Recent productions include the feature documentary THE ANDERSSON BROTHERS, which made its international premiere at Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in 2024, and the co-produced SAFE HOUSE, the opening film and Audience Award Winner at Göteborg Film Festival 2025.
